
Japan has emerged as the top travel destination for South Koreans this year, according to a survey conducted by the local booking platform Yeogi Eottae. The survey, which gathered responses from 443 users of the customer experience management platform Data Space, found that 36.3 percent of participants selected Japan as their desired destination.
Europe followed as the second most popular choice, with 24.7 percent of respondents, while Vietnam ranked third at 21.5 percent.
When asked about the reasons behind their destination choices, 49.2 percent of respondents cited disappointment over not being able to travel last year, 34.9 percent chose destinations with good memories and 15.1 percent were influenced by recommendations from others.
