Unionized delivery workers on Monday said they will launch a five-day motorcycle procession from Busan to Seoul to call for a swift restoration of democracy from suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol’s botched Dec. 3 imposition of martial law.

In a press conference held in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, representatives of the Rider Union, affiliated with Korea's largest umbrella labor union federation, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, also reiterated their demands for the implementation of mandatory accident insurance and fair freight rates to ensure safety and better working conditions.

The delivery drivers' protest procession will begin on Tuesday in Busan, traveling through the cities of Changwon, Ulsan, Daegu and Daejeon, before concluding at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on Saturday.
