After New York, Madrid, Sydney, 'Squid Game: The Experience' lands in Seongsu-dong

An immersive experience of global phenomenon "Squid Game" is coming to Seoul next month, offering a unique opportunity to step into the world of the hit series.
Netflix announced Monday that it will operate "Squid Game: The Experience," an all-in-one immersive space where visitors can engage in various games, enjoy themed food and drinks, explore photo zones and browse exclusive merchandise, in Seongsu-dong, eastern Seoul, from Feb. 28 to June 25.
Participants embark on the experience by scanning their faces to register as players and entering a dormitory for a game briefing. Over the course of 90 minutes, they compete in six games inspired by the hit series, including marbles, a treasure hunt, Red Light, Green Light and tug-of-war, culminating in the selection of a final winner.
Visitors can also enjoy "Younghee’s Playground," a dedicated area featuring specialty food and drinks, photo zones for capturing unforgettable moments and access to official "Squid Game" merchandise.
"Squid Game: The Experience" will open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
After its October 2024 debut in New York, the experience has expanded to other global cities, including Madrid and Sydney. The New York edition of "Squid Game: The Experience" sold out for eight consecutive weeks following its launch, according to Netflix.
Tickets are priced at 55,000 won ($37) per person for on-site purchases. Online buyers receive a 10 percent discount, and an early bird promotion will offer tickets for 38,500 won when purchased from 8 a.m. on Monday through Friday via an official online ticket purchase site.
