Ingredients:
200 grams beef (for bulgogi)
A handful of garlic chives (or green onions)
1/3 onion
1 green chile pepper
1 red chile pepper
1 egg
Cooking oil as needed
Bulgogi marinade ingredients:
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
A pinch of black pepper
Batter ingredients:
2 cups Korean pancake mix (buchim garu)
2 cups cold water
(Serves 2 to 3)
Instructions:
Pat the beef dry, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and marinate with the bulgogi marinade ingredients for about 10 minutes.
Cut the garlic chives into 4-centimeter pieces, slice the onion, and cut the green and red chile peppers into thin rings.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients with the garlic chives and onion until combined.
Heat oil in a pan and pour in the batter, spreading it evenly. Arrange the marinated beef evenly over the batter, then spoon an additional 2 tablespoons of batter over the beef.
Pour the beaten egg over the pancake, and add the green and red chile pepper slices. Flip and cook over low heat for about 2 minutes until cooked through.
Cut the pancake into desired sizes and serve on a plate. Enjoy with soy dipping sauce, if desired.
