G-Dragon pushes 8 Seconds in China

[THE INVESTOR] Samsung C&T’s SPA brand 8 Seconds is entering China in full force with iconic band Big Bang’s G-Dragon as its face and collaborator, it announced on Aug. 8.

The South Korean fast-fashion brand will officially launch in China with the 2016 fall-winter collection and an advertising campaign featuring the fashionable singer who often graces fashion magazine covers and is a fashion show regular.




He will not only lend his face but has also collaborated with the brand as a designer for the 8 X G-Dragon line that ranges from a T-shirt to a heavily embroidered jumper, developing the shape and typo for a dragon.

Inspired by the ever-stylish leader of the 10-year-old band, 8 Seconds has also come up with 8 X GD’s Pick line that consists of his favorite items that include sweatshirt, hooded jumper, distressed jeans and canvas bag. 

“To accelerate 8 Seconds’ brand recognition in China and project our fresh image, we thought G-Dragon was the best to represent our brand,” said Jeong Chang-geun, the brand’s executive said.

The collaboration project lines will be also available in major 8 Seconds stores in South Korea and its online store.
