애완 고양이인 배즈는 어느 날 집에 돌아오지 않았으며 몇 일후에 이웃주민으로부터 쓰레기통에서 발견되었다고 한다. 고양이는 심하게 폭행당한 상태였으며 눈 또한 심하게 부어있었다.
주인 커스티 스패로우(Kirsty Sparrow)는 배즈를 곧바로 수의사에게 데려갔지만 눈 손상 상태가 매우 심한 상태라 한쪽 눈이 결국 제거되었어야만 했다. 또한 차에 치였을 확률은 거의 희박하며 누군가에 의해 폭행당했을 확률이 더 높다고 수의사가 덧붙였다.
배즈 코 밑과 머리 위의 검은 털이 히틀러의 모습과 닮아서 폭행당했을 가능성이 높다고 스패로우는 밝혔다.
스패로우와 그녀의 할머니는 어떻게 생김새 때문에 동물에게 이런 잔인한 행동을 할 수 있을지 믿을 수 없다고 한다. 특히, 배즈가 그가 히틀러를 닮고 싶어서 그렇게 태어난 것이 아닌데도 말이다.

'Hitler cat’ beaten till half blind
Baz, a 7-year-old cat, was beaten up, blinded and thrown into a bin apparently because he looked like Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, according to the Daily Mail.
The pet cat was found by a neighbor in a trash can. The cat was brutally beaten and his eyes were swollen, the report said.
Baz was immediately taken to the vet by his owner Kirsty Sparrow, but the vet had to remove one eye because it was too damaged. The vet also stated that it was unlikely that he was hit by a car but rather beaten up.
Sparrow believes that her cat was attacked because he resembled Hitler with his patch of black fur under the nose and on the top of his head.
Sparrow and her grandmother couldn’t believe how people could be so cruel to an animal just because of its appearance.
