Prosecutors said Tuesday they have indicted a 26-year-old South Korean man on charges of breaking into a government complex to tamper with exam results.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said the man, identified only by his surname Song, is accused of unauthorized entry into the government complex in central Seoul and manipulating the results of the civil service examination he took.

According to prosecutors, Song illegally entered the building a total of five times after he stole the identification card of a public official working in the building in February. He later stole two other ID cards.

Last month, the Seoul Central District Court issued a warrant to formally arrest Song. (Yonhap)
