Lee Jun-suk soared to gold in the men's singles teqball event at the Asian Games on Sunday, becoming the inaugural champion of the brand new sport making its Asiad debut. Lee defeated Ali Jalil Mezher Alelayawi of Iraq 2-0 (12-11, 12-5) in the final at Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center in Nagoya, Japan. Lee's first goal rescues Austria Wien in 2-2 draw
South Korean defender Lee Kang-hee scored his first goal of the season just two minutes after coming off the bench to rescue a 2-2 draw for Austria Wien against Grazer AK. Lee struck in the 81st minute with Austria Wien trailing 2-1 in its seventh Austrian Bundesliga game of the season at Merkur Arena in Graz, Austria, Saturday. South Korea started its women's handball tournament at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games with a big win on Saturday. Coached by Lee Kye-chung, South Korea defeated Hong Kong 48-16 at Entrio in Inazawa, just northwest of the main host city, Nagoya, Japan. Swimming competition set to begin as S. Korea looks to replicate 2023 success
The swimming competition of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will begin Sunday in Tokyo, where South Korea will look to repeat its success in the pool from three years ago.
