Wallets were the most commonly reported lost items on the Seoul subway from 2021 through September 2026, accounting for 191,223 of 820,106 cases, according to Seoul Metro data.
서울 지하철에서 2021년부터 2026년 9월까지 가장 많이 분실 신고된 물품은 지갑인 것으로 나타났다. 서울교통공사 자료에 따르면 전체 분실 신고 82만106건 가운데 지갑은 19만1,223건을 차지했다.
The number of lost-item reports rose from 101,618 in 2021 to 167,738 in 2025, before reaching 123,879 in the first nine months of this year.
분실물 신고 건수는 2021년 10만1,618건에서 2025년 16만7,738건으로 증가했다. 올해는 1~9월에만 12만3,879건이 접수됐다.
Cash was reported lost in 52,859 cases, totaling approximately $2.26 million, of which 74.4 percent was returned to its owners.
현금 분실 신고는 5만2,859건으로, 금액으로는 약 226만 달러에 달했다. 이 가운데 74.4%가 주인에게 반환됐다.
The direct return rate for all lost items fell from 65.6 percent in 2021 to 49.1 percent in the first nine months of this year.
전체 분실물의 직접 반환율은 2021년 65.6%에서 올해 1~9월 49.1%로 하락했다.
Banghwa Station on Subway Line No. 5 recorded the highest number of lost-item reports last year, with 8,943 cases.
지난해 분실물 신고가 가장 많이 접수된 역은 지하철 5호선 방화역으로, 총 8,943건을 기록했다.
