LG Electronics is expanding its premium appliance lineup and retail distribution in the United States as its luxury brand LG Signature marks a decade in the market, the company said Sunday.
The South Korean electronics maker aims to strengthen its presence in North America's premium and built-in appliance sectors by broadening its kitchen portfolio, widening retail access and introducing artificial intelligence features.
The brand now offers 10 kitchen product categories, including ranges, wall ovens, range hoods and cooktops. It has also introduced three design styles to cater to different consumer preferences.
The Iconic collection pairs metallic finishes with gold accents, while Tailored offers a range of colors to suit individual tastes. The Seamless line features flush-fitting appliances that align with surrounding cabinetry without protruding elements.
The manufacturer has also upgraded its appliances with AI-powered functions. Its Gourmet AI-equipped oven range uses an internal camera to recognize ingredients, recommend recipes and alert users based on the level of browning during cooking.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, LG hosted a gala Thursday at the Guggenheim Museum in New York under the theme "What's Your Signature?"
The event brought together figures from the arts, media and entertainment industries, including LG Electronics North America chief Kwak Do-young. It featured displays of new Signature appliances, a chocolate-making demonstration by chocolatier Amaury Guichon and a performance by singer-songwriter John Mayer.
US consumer publication Consumer Reports also recognized the company's premium laundry products. Its Signature washer and dryer set appeared on the publication's list of the 15 best washer-dryer sets of 2026.
According to LG, the Signature washer model WM9900HSA scored 87, the highest among more than 100 products evaluated. The publication assessed factors including performance, energy efficiency and reliability.
"We will continue to offer North American consumers differentiated experiences through a premium lineup that combines sophisticated design with AI-powered convenience," Kwak said.
