Singer Hwasa performed at a state dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Tuesday during South Korean President Lee Jae Myung’s state visit to France.
The Mamamoo member gave a solo performance at the dinner, singing her 2025 hit “Good Goodbye” and latest single “So Cute,” which was released in April.
The dinner, hosted by Macron in honor of Lee’s visit, brought together 17 figures from the business and cultural sectors as Korea and France mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
Hwasa’s selection of songs was particularly timely, as both were recently singled out by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who named her as one of his favorite singers. During his appearance on tvN variety show “You Quiz on the Block” in June, Huang praised Hwasa as a “good dancer and good singer.”
Earlier Tuesday, Hwasa also joined South Korean first lady Kim Hea Kyung and France’s first lady, Brigitte Macron, on a visit to “Hanjimania,” an exhibition dedicated to traditional Korean mulberry paper, hanji, at the Hotel de la Marine in Paris.
The exhibition, organized to commemorate 140 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, features 17 works created collaboratively by Korean and French artists using traditional hanji materials from Mungyeong and Andong, North Gyeongsang Province. It is also part of the official program of Paris Design Week.
During the visit, Hwasa presented Kim and Macron with signed albums packaged in hanji cases.
“Hanjimania” officially opened Wednesday and runs to Sept. 27.
