Visitors gathered at the Joseon State Council Site Square in central Seoul on Sautrday to watch a reenactment of “Yeolmu,” a traditional military ritual from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) as part of a newly launched cultural program.

The event, held at the historic site near Gyeongbokgung in Jongno-gu, drew visitors who were eager to experience elements of Korea’s past through live demonstrations and interactive activities.

In addition to the “Yeolmu” demonstration, attendees were able to take part in hands-on programs such as “Seunggyeongdo,” a traditional board game that recreates the promotion system of government officials from the Joseon Dynasty.

The weekly program, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, will continue every Saturday through October, excluding the summer months from June to August, with sessions held twice daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Details regarding the weekly performances will be available on the Seoul Culture Portal website as well as the city government’s Culture Headquarters’ official Instagram page.
