TheBorn Korea, led by restaurateur and television personality Paik Jong-won, launched a discount event Tuesday, offering up to 50 percent off across its franchise locations.

Running through May 25, the promotion is part of a broader support initiative for franchisees following recent criticism directed at Paik and TheBorn Korea over pricing practices, ingredient transparency and labeling issues.

A company representative said TheBorn Korea remains committed to its responsibilities, adding that it will continue striving to be a reliable partner to both franchisees and customers.
