The K-pop girl group Babymonster has added three dates to its ongoing first world tour “Hello Monsters,” label YG Entertainment said Friday.
The group will perform one more time each in Kanagawa, Japan, as well as Hong Kong and Taipei, Taiwan, in response to high demand from its fans.
The seven members kicked off the tour in Seoul in January and embarked on a series of international gigs last month, visiting two cities in the US — Newark and Los Angeles.
The Japan leg began earlier this month, taking the group to five cities for 12 shows in total. Tickets for all the concerts in Japan sold out as of last week, and expectations are rising that the group will have attracted an audience of 100,000 through its first Japan tour.
Babymonster will also record music for the movie adaptation of the Japanese manga “Mieruko-chan,” which is due to premiere by June. The theme song “Ghost” will be its first Japanese-language single.
