The new Korea Baseball Organization season kicked off on Saturday, with nearly 110,000 fans packing stadiums nationwide.

For the third straight season, all opening-day games were sold out, underscoring the league's surging popularity. A total of 109,950 fans filled ballparks from Daegu and Gwangju to Seoul, according to the KBO.

In Gwangju, defending champions Kia Tigers hosted NC Dinos in front of 20,500 fans at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field. In the capital, Jamsil Stadium drew 23,750 fans as the LG Twins faced off against the Lotte Giants. In Incheon, 23,000 fans cheered on as the SSG Landers clashed with the Doosan Bears.

Daegu’s Samsung Lion Park welcomed 24,000 spectators as the Samsung Lions squared off against the Kiwoom Heroes, while Suwon’s KT Wiz Park hosted 18,700 fans for the KT Wiz vs. Hanwha Eagles game.
