At the Video Music Awards Japan 2025, hosted by MTV, aespa won four trophies.
At the award ceremony held in Yokohama, Japan on Wednesday, the four members picked up trophies for: Artist of the Year and Best Group Video (International) for “Whiplash,” as well as Best Dance Video and Best K-Pop Video for “Supernova” and “Armageddon,” respectively.
The quartet recorded the most achievements at the awards show for female musicians.
“We are happy that our music has reached so many people,” said the bandmates and thanked My, their official fandom community in Japan in particular. They debuted in the country with single “Hot Mess” in July last year.
The group wrapped up second world tour “Synk: Parellel Line” on Sunday with an encore gig in Seoul. In August, the group will join the lineup for Summer Sonic 2025.
