Riize is preparing to drop its first studio album in May, according to a local media report on Wednesday.
Label SM Entertainment confirmed the news following the report.
The album comes about 11 months after its first EP “Riizing,” which not only sold over a million in the first week, but also set a career-high for the rookie boy band at 1.25 million copies sold. The album topped iTunes' Top Albums chart in 10 regions as well as Oricon’s Daily and Weekly album rankings. Lead single “Boom Boom Bass” earned the band five trophies from television music chart shows.
The six-member band also recently uploaded a new episode of “We Riize,” its original variety show, Tuesday, in which they run around and chase each other while divided into two teams.
