Jennie of Blackpink appeared on Billboard’s YouTube channel in a collaboration video with Billboard Korea uploaded Wednesday.
In the 10-minute-long video titled “Jennie’s Iconic Stage: Ruby,” the artist discussed putting together her first solo studio album, “Ruby.”
“It has been a very long journey to get here,” the musician confided with a slight pause when introducing the LP. The confessed perfectionist had to look at every aspect of it, and said, “Every little bit of me has gone into this album.”
She also gave viewers a peek at her Dua Lipa collaboration “Handlebars!” performing it for the first time in the video before moving to the album's main single, “Like Jennie.”
Though all 15 songs in the LP are precious to her, she said, “‘Like Jennie’ just makes me happy and makes me want to dance every time I listen to it.”
On Friday, she will hit the stage in Incheon to celebrate the album's release.
