Nature World, a park in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, lights up from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through the end of February.
Since 2013, the Taean Light Festival has been welcoming anyone longing for nighttime nostalgia.

Colorful blooms, evergreens
Vicheollin is a theme park on Jeju Island where go-karting and kayaking come with flower beds and more.
Camellias, vervain and trumpet vine as well as “gotjawal,” a type of forest unique to the climate of Jeju, will offer a city escape.

Cheongdo Light Festival
A train trip to Cheongdo County in North Gyeongsang Province is worth the two-hour ride from the capital -- if that’s where you are -- for photos and more.
Cheongdo Provence Park, dotted with installations and attractions, has been running a light festival since 2012.
Open through Feb. 10, the park lights up from 5 p.m. and sprays artificial snow from 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 p.m. on weekends. Visit cheongdo-provence.co.kr

Beartree Park in Sejong
Beartree Park in Sejong City is a garden and zoo, showcasing everything from cactuses to pine trees and bears.
Hiking trails and scenic routes render the compound appealing to both adults and children alike.
