Police questioned impeached Prime Minister Han Duck-soo again this week over President Yoon Suk Yeol's failed martial law bid, a special investigation team said Wednesday.

Han was questioned for over nine hours on Tuesday regarding the details of a Cabinet meeting Yoon convened immediately before declaring martial law on Dec. 3, among other things.

This was the second time he underwent questioning by the police, though he has also been questioned by the prosecution in connection with the case.

Han has said Yoon's declaration of martial law did not follow due legal procedures as no deliberations took place during the Cabinet meeting.

He has been suspended from duty since Dec. 27, when the opposition-controlled National Assembly voted to impeach him less than two weeks after he took over as acting president in the wake of Yoon's own impeachment over the failed martial law bid. (Yonhap)
