A key suspect in what appears to be one of South Korea's biggest digital sex crime cases was escorted out of Seongdong Police Station in Seoul by police officers on Friday.

According to the police, the suspect, allegedly the leader of a group calling themselves "the vigilantes" that operated via Telegram, was sent to the prosecution Friday morning.

The suspect, who went by the nickname "pastor," is accused of sexually abusing 234 victims, including 159 teenagers, by luring victims and coercing them to create sexually exploitative material. The materials were then distributed via Telegram. The group, established in May 2020, continued its criminal activities until this month.
