Have a taste for beautiful things? Feast your eyes on gems and jewelry spanning thousands of years, each with their own history and unique sentiment, at "The Art of Jewellery."

This exhibition highlights a collection of historical and artistic jewels belonging to Kazumi Arikawa -- an esteemed Japanese jewelry collector and the founder and president of Albion Art Jewellery Institute.

Taking place at Seoul's Lotte Museum of Art until March 16, it features 208 pieces of art jewelry organized into eight sections, with each zone focusing on key periods spanning 5,000 years of jewelry history.

The first section showcases jewelry from the ancient, medieval and Renaissance periods, while the second and third sections transport visitors to 17th and 18th century Europe and 19th century Neoclassicism, respectively.

Section four is centered around Art Nouveau, an art style that prevailed in Europe from the 1890s to 1914 as well as the Belle Epoque period. Section five presents the iconic decorative style of 20th century Art Deco, while section six presents visitors with a mesmerizing collection of 16th to 18th century rings. Section seven features a collection of 30 tiaras spanning 19th century pieces to modern luxury brands.

The highlight of the exhibition is "Cross of Christ and the Evangelists" (1515-1520) by gem engraver Valerio Belli. The altar cross of rock crystal and silver-gilt stands on a triangular pedestal fitted with rock crystal panels is presented in the last section.

The exhibition is open from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. every day except Mondays. Tickets can be purchased on-site or through online reservations. For more information, visit the official Lotte Museum of Art website.
