SM Entertainment’s classical and jazz label SM Classics unveiled its first album “Across the New World” on Friday.

The LP's title, “Across The New World,” reflects the label’s mission to bridge K-pop and classical music, presenting a fusion of past and present genres.

The new album features 14 orchestral renditions of iconic SM hit songs, including new arrangements of the double main tracks “Rising Sun” and “Into the New World.” Other songs include orchestral versions of “Tree,” “Sherlock (Clue + Note),” “Growl” and “Boom Boom Bass."

One of the double title tracks, “Rising Sun (Orchestra Ver.),” blends TVXQ’s original song, a hallmark of SM Music Performance, with the third movement of Vivaldi’s “Summer” from “The Four Seasons.”

The song delivers a unique musical catharsis by combining dramatic orchestral elements with the dynamic swing of a dance break, offering listeners a fresh take on the classic hit.

It also offers a preview of the setlist for the upcoming “SM Classic Live 2025 with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra,” scheduled for Feb. 14-15.

The album is now available on global streaming services including iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify as well as local music platforms such as Melon, Flo and Genie.

SM Classics has been reinterpreting K-pop tracks into orchestral and classical formats, expanding the horizons of SM’s musical vision under its SM 3.0 strategy.

SM Classics will also premiere its brand film “Across the New World” on SM Town’s official YouTube channel at 6 p.m. Friday. The film visually encapsulates the label’s identity by merging K-pop and classical music into a compelling new soundscape, the company said.
