Seoul city aims to help 100 single men and women find romance on Valentine‘s Day

If looking for love has not been going as well as you would have liked. the Seoul Metropolitan Government is ready to play Cupid.

To help Seoulites find love on Valentine's Day, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Hanwha General Insurance are jointly hosting a matchmaking event dubbed "An Exciting Art Night (unofficial translation)" on Feb. 14.

The event, scheduled to be held at the Hanwha General Insurance building in Yongsan-gu, central Seoul, at 7 p.m., Feb. 14. will invite 100 single men and women who are registered residents of Seoul to find their potential future partner.

The event will revolve around the theme of art so that art displayed in the building can serve as an icebreaker. Programs that group participants based on their artistic preferences, private one-on-one conversations and dinner will also be offered.

At the end of the event, each participant will list three people they are interested in and will be notified of the final result the next day.

Unmarried men and women aged 25 to 45, or those born between 1980 and 2000 living in Seoul, can apply for the program. Applicants must submit the required documents, such as documents showing their marriage and residence status, through the online application site. Foreign residents can also apply for the program if they live in Seoul and submit a document showing their unmarried status from their respective consulates.

Applications are open until 6 p.m., Jan. 31 and can be submitted through https://umppa.seoul.go.kr
