Looking to reserve a table at a popular restaurant in Japan?

Now, reservations for some of the Japan's most sought-after dining experiences can be made through a Korean app.

Wad, the developer of South Korean restaurant reservation platform Catch Table, said Tuesday it has partnered with GMO Omakase, a leading restaurant reservation service in Japan, to help Korean visitors explore the neighboring country's most exclusive cuisine and local favorites all in one place.

Through the partnership, some 500 dining establishments in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hokkaido are available on the app. The list includes restaurants featured in the Michelin Guides for Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, as well as eateries with ratings of 3.5 out of 5 or higher on Japan's restaurant review sites.

Users can discover, browse and select restaurants based on the area they are visiting, and Catch Table will direct them to a Korean-language reservation site managed by GMO Omakase.

There, users can reserve a time to visit and choose from several pre-set menus offered by the restaurant. Users can then review their reservation details on the Catch Table app and receive an official confirmation email within 24 hours.
