Seventeen added another record on Oricon’s annual wrap-up of this year announced Friday.

Its best-of album “17 Is Right Here” claimed No. 3 spot on the annual Combined Album Ranking, the highest rung for an international artist this year, with 12th EP “Spill The Feels” sitting two rungs below.

The 13-member act is the only artist to have multiple albums among top 10 on the chart.

The compilation album and 12th EP ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, on annual album ranking and 11th EP from last year made the chart at No. 13.

In the meantime, Seventeen will wrap up the Japanese leg of tour Right Here this weekend in Fukuoka and will visit four more cities in Asia – Bulacan, the Philippines as well as Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok -- from Jan. 18.

Taeyang to host encore concert in February

Taeyang of Big Bang will host a solo concert in Seoul on Feb. 1, announced agency The Black Label Friday.

It will be an encore gig for his The Light Year tour that began in Seoul in August before taking the musician to eight cities across Asia between late september and mid-December. The summer concert was his first solo show in seven years and set fans abuzz with a surprise reunion with G Dragon and Daesung on stage.

The trio made news again when they put on “Home Sweet Home” at 2024 MAMA Awards and the single earned it first place on a television music chart show last week.

Meanwhile, Taeyang is set to resume the tour on Jan. 25 hitting a stadium in Jakarta. Three more concerts are confirmed so far, one in Bangkok and two in Macao.

Twice Nayeon’s dance video logs 100m views

Nayeon of Twice has garnered 100 million views on YouTube with the performance video for first solo song “POP!” as of Thursday, said label JYP Entertainment Friday.

The music video for the song surpassed 200 million in August last year.

“POP!” is the focus track from her first solo EP “Im Nayeon” that was rolled out in June 2022 and debuted on Billboard 200 at No. 7, the highest spot for a K-pop solo female singer at the time.

Her second solo EP “NA” from June also hit the same spot on the main albums chart.

Separately, Twice released 14th EP “Strategy” earlier this month and ranked No. 4 on Billboard 200. The nonet will appear on Japan’s most well-known year-end music show “The Red-White Singing Festival” on NHK on Dec. 31, for the fifth time.

Taemin to open more seats for US tour

More seats will be added to Taemin’s upcoming US tour as per fans’ requests, his agency Big Planet Made Entertainment said Friday.

The youngest member of SHINee launched his first solo international tour in Incheon, Korea in August. Under the title Ephemeral Gaze, he has visited 10 cities in Asia by the end of November.

He is poised to hit the stage in Macao on Jan. 4, 2025. He will hold concerts in Mexcio, Brazil and Chile before heading off to the US where all tickets for those for five cities sold out within an hour. He decided to offer more seats for live shows in Houston and Los Angeles.

The tour will come to a close in Paris in mid-March next year and will have encompassed 14 cities in 10 countries.
