Mobile messenger service KakaoTalk on Thursday revealed the most searched messages on its application this year, saying “I love you” was searched for the most in the hour after midnight.
KakaoTalk compiled data between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31 to discover which words or phrases users searched for most frequently among messages they had sent or received. The most searched phrases after midnight were “I love you,” between midnight and 1 a.m., “I miss you,” between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., and “I‘m sorry” between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
The report also revealed how users’ searches changed over the course of the day: Users searched “team leader” most frequently between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., and “gas” between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
In KakaoTalk‘s open chat feature, where users can search for other users with shared interests, the most searched words were mountain climbing, golf, soccer, tennis, running and other sports-related terms. In terms of countries, Japan was the most frequently-searched, followed by the US and India.
