[THE INVESTOR] A three-day business fair opened in Seoul on Sept. 5 where hundreds of business and government representatives from nearly 50 countries will gather to exchange information and hold business meetings.

The Global Green Hub Korea will be held until Sept. 7 with over 160 business and government officials from 47 countries seeking to find the right products or partners for their upcoming projects, according to the state-run Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

The three-day fair, the fifth of its kind, will also be attended by some 500 South Korean businesses in the clean and renewable energy sector.

The government-hosted fair largely seeks to match South Korean contractors with foreign governments and their developers, who are expected to spend up to US$12 trillion over the next 15 years to meet their emission reduction requirements.

Over the past two years, the business fair helped South Korean firms win some $220 million worth of global projects.
