Paul McCartney may be performing his first in-Korea concert on May 2 at Jamsil Sports Complex, reports said.

Though official announcements are yet to be made, according to industry insiders, final negotiations on concert details are well underway.

McCartney was originally slated to perform in Seoul last year on May 28 in the Super Concert series organized by Hyundai Card.

However, the 73-year-old musician canceled what would have been his first appearance in the country due to illness. He subsequently released an apology, saying he was “very disappointed” and “sorry to be letting fans down.”

Rumors of a renewed visit strengthened when, on Jan. 29, CEO of Hyundai Card Ted Chung re-posted on Twitter last year’s concert teaser clip featuring McCartney’s mega-hit Beatles song “Hey Jude” along with the brief caption, “First time we re-run an ad.”

Hyundai Card, meanwhile, has refused to comment.

Many speculate that the former Beatle will make his way to Korea after his 2015 “Out There” Japan tour, which is confirmed to be held at the Osaka Kyocera Dome from April 21- 27.
