Ssangyong Motor, the local unit of Indian SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra, said Monday that it has convened the largest-ever overseas dealership meeting ahead of the launch of its new X100 small crossover.
The four-day gathering that kicked off last Wednesday on the sidelines of the Paris Motor Show, involved 130 dealers from 65 countries, the carmaker said.
The company said dealers had a chance to share Ssangyong’s corporate vision and mid- to long-term product strategies, as well as exchange views on meeting this year’s sales goals and prospects for 2015.
The carmaker said it wants to sell 150,500 cars this year, with 81,500 being shipped abroad.
Ssangyong said dealers also had the chance to see for themselves how the X100 will eventually look like by checking out the XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concepts displayed at the motor show.
The concept cars represent the latest versions of the carmaker’s “eXciting user-Interface Vehicle” series that will form the basis for the X100 that will reach consumers early next year. (Yonhap)
