한국인 되려 성형 10번한 브라질 남자

한국인처럼 보이기 위해 성형수술을 감행한 브라질 남성이 화제가 되고 있다.

시안(Xiahn)이라는 아이디를 사용하는 25살짜리 청년은 한국인 얼굴을 하고 싶어 눈 수술을 무려 10번이나 받았다. 성형수술에 쏟아 부은 돈은 한화로 약 3400만원. 수술을 통해 쌍커풀을 없애고, 눈동자 색깔을 바꾸기 위해 컨택트렌즈를 착용했다.

수술 받기 전 파란 눈에 금발머리였던 독일계 브라질인 시안이 성형에 관심을 갖게 된 건 교환학생으로 한국에 와 살면서 부터다. 한국인들이 너도 나도 성형수술 하는 것을 보고 그도 수술을 결심했다.

시안은 “한국인들은 눈 모양을 바꿔 서양인처럼 보이기 위해 수술을 받는다”며 “선글라스를 끼거나 마스크를 쓰고 걸어 다니는 사람들은 수술 받은 사람들이다”라고 말했다.

주변 사람들은 “아시아인들의 눈은 다 똑같이 생겼다”고 말하지만 어쨌든 그는 이제 한국인의 얼굴을 갖게 되어 기쁘다고 밝혔다.

시안은 “후회는 없다. 내 얼굴에 만족한다. 더 이상 성형 생각은 없다”고 덧붙였다.

A Brazilian man has had plastic surgery in order to look more Oriental, a local media outlet reported.

Cosmetic procedures, such as silicone implants, lip surgery or other augmentations, are nothing unusual in Brazil. But the 25-year-old man went a step further to transform himself into Asian-looking man by making alterations to his eyes.

Xiahn, who asked not to be named to protect his family from Internet scrutiny, underwent 10 surgical procedures on his eyes, along with other less-invasive procedures, which cost him around $3,100. He also began wearing contact lenses to change his eye color.

Originally blue-eyed with blonde hair, he became interested in having plastic surgery after spending some time as an exchange student in Korea. He was inspired by how common plastic surgery is here.

“Koreans have many surgeries to modify the shape of their eyes and become more like Westerners. It was easy to tell when one of them had done it, walking on the street wearing sunglasses and a surgical mask,” he said.

People think that all Asian eyes look the same, but he is just happy that he got the right look. “I have no regrets, and I don’t intend to have any more procedures,” he concluded.
