The longest-running boy band in K-pop history, Shinhwa, wrapped up its two-day concert event over the weekend in celebration of the group’s 15-year anniversary. The “2013 Shinhwa 15th Anniversary Concert ― The Legend Continues” was held at the Gymnastics Stadium at Seoul Olympic Park on Saturday and Sunday night, drawing some 25,000 fans.

The members of the K-pop boy band are no longer boys, but even in their 30s, Shinhwa showed no intention of throwing in the towel. 

“Fifteen years is a long time and we are so very happy that we have been able to stay together this long,” the members were reported as saying at a press conference. “We hope to continue dancing and singing on the stage until our 20th or 30th year together.”

The six members Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin and Andy Lee first debuted as Shinhwa in 1998 with their first album “The Solver.” The band steadily continued to release albums year after year until the release of the group’s ninth album 2008. Shinhwa then went on a four-year hiatus to allow some members to focus on solo activities as well as having other members complete their mandatory military service.

The original six members of Shinhwa made their much awaited comeback with the release of their 10th album, “The Return,” in March 2012.

Shinhwa has announced plans to release an 11th album sometime next month as well as scheduling an Asia promotional tour for the summer.
