Hyundai Glovis said Tuesday it has been conducting a wide range of corporate social responsibility programs to promote driving safety.

The logistics unit of Hyundai Motor Group has been running a program for driving safety since 2015, which includes handing out a safety product kit for drivers. It highlights the company’s value in safety as a leading logistics firm, it said.

The company has handed out some 11,000 safety kits for drivers by visiting expressway rest stations in collaboration with the Defense Ministry. The kit includes a sleepiness-prevention gum, ice patch, neck pillow and a sun shade.

Last year, the company also renovated the drowsy shelter located on the Gyeongbu Expressway in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, the third of its kind since 2017.

It has also opened a safety mentoring class by inviting high school students from Tongmyong Technical High school in Busan. The students had an opportunity to be aware of industrial safety and understand the logistics industry.

Recently, the company expanded its CSR campaign to the safety on the sea, by handing out some 500 safety product kits for passengers on ships.
