[THE INVESTOR] South Koreans believed they need an average of 2.19 million won ($1,960) a month to sustain a decent lifestyle post-retirement, a report showed Monday.

In the survey that analyzed data of 12,429 visitors, who received counseling on their post-retirement plans at the National Tax Service, showed that men believed they needed 2.28 million won per month, slightly more than women's 2.11 million won.

The anticipated amount was higher among those in their 40s than those in their 60s.
