Japan’s casual wear manufacturer and retailer Uniqlo said Friday it rolled out a new collection, “Uniqlo U," in collaboration with a former Hermes designer Christopher Lemaire.
Uniqlo U includes cotton chino pants, cashmere knitwear, nylon-based outwear, and quilted bags. The collection will also bring out a set of shirts and cardigans of which design inspired by one of Uniqlo’s signature item Ultra Light Down, Uniqlo said.
Lemaire, former fashion director for Hermes and Lacoste joined Uniqlo R&D in Paris as an art director and conducted a series of collaboration works with Uniqlo since last year.The designer also has his own brand, “LEMAIRE.”
The new collection are now available in nationwide Uniqlo stores and online shops, with a few items arriving in November.
