JYP Entertainment confirms late-November release plans, marking singer's first solo album since 2024
Nayeon of K-pop girl group Twice is preparing to release a new solo album in late November, her agency JYP Entertainment confirmed Wednesday, marking her first solo album in nearly two and a half years.
"Nayeon's solo comeback is scheduled for the third week of November," an industry source told The Korea Herald on condition of anonymity. "As always, K-pop idol schedules are subject to frequent changes, so the exact comeback date remains uncertain. But as of now, the album is scheduled for release in late November."
JYP Entertainment confirmed that Nayeon is preparing for a solo comeback next month, although the exact release date has yet to be finalized.
"She is preparing for a solo comeback with that timeframe in mind," a JYP Entertainment official told The Korea Herald, referring to late November.
The upcoming release will be Nayeon's first solo album since her second EP, "Na," in June 2024. She released "Love Is Enough," a soundtrack single for the Korean drama "Sold Out on You," in May this year, but has not released a solo album since "Na."
Further details, including the tracklist and lead single, have yet to be announced.
Nayeon made her solo debut in June 2022 with the EP "Im Nayeon," becoming the first Twice member to launch a solo career. Led by the hit single "Pop!," the album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, making her the first K-pop solo artist to enter the chart's top 10.
Her second EP, "Na," featuring the lead single "ABCD," also debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in 2024, and she became the first female K-pop soloist to place two albums in the chart's top 10.
