Kang Daniel dropped his new single “Blue” across online platforms on Wednesday, his agency Aera announced.
He participated in writing the lyrics and melody of the R&B tune portraying the subtle emotions of being hesitant while also drawn to someone.
The musician worked on the single before enlisting in the Army in February last year. His mandatory military service ends in August 2027.
Earlier this month, a video clip featuring singers and actors dancing together, including Kang, Seventeen’s Woozi and Monsta X’s I.M, went viral.
Kang had to miss out most of Wanna One’s activities, though. The project group reunited after seven years in April and he appeared only in the first episode of the reality show. He debuted as the top finisher of the audition show through which the team was formed.
