LG CNS said Monday it has become the first South Korean company recognized in IDC's global digital workplace services assessment, earning a "Major Player" designation in the 2026 evaluation.
The assessment covered 19 technology companies, including India's Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys, Japan's NTT DATA and US firms Dell and HP. IDC MarketScape evaluates providers based on their capabilities, strategies, customer feedback and service competitiveness.
IDC highlighted LG CNS's agentic artificial intelligence technology, expertise in security-sensitive industries and ability to deliver services from consulting to implementation and operations.
The company's agentic AI platform goes beyond information retrieval to execute workplace tasks, including document creation, meeting support, translation and business process automation.
IDC also recognized LG CNS's experience deploying AI services in finance, manufacturing and the public sector, where strict security requirements can complicate adoption. Customer feedback pointed to its industry expertise, project execution and responsiveness.
LG CNS said it has deployed its agentic AI service and other digital workplace solutions at LG affiliates in the US, China, Singapore and Germany, delivering productivity gains of 20 to 40 percent.
The company estimates the technology could generate annual savings of tens of billions of won by reducing work hours and software licensing costs compared with foreign solutions.
Kim Hong-geun, executive vice president and head of LG CNS's Digital Business Division, said the recognition demonstrated the company's global competitiveness and pledged to expand its agentic AI services.
