Seok Matthew and Park Gunwook of Zerobaseone are dropping a mixtape as the hip-hop subunit EMP on Monday, their agency WakeOne Entertainment announced.
They are forming the first subunit from the five-piece group and rolling out “EMP Mixtape Vol. 1: We the Extra.” The two idols helped write lyrics and melodies of all four songs, and “EMP” and “Pina C” will be the lead singles.
Park demonstrated his songwriting abilities with “Customize,” a self-written song that was part of Zerobaseone’s sixth EP “Ascend-” in May.
“EMP” comes from electromagnetic pulse, taking inspiration from the sound-blocking effect that tunes out everything except their music.
They are set to drop a digital single in November.
