Mom’s Touch has relocated its Japanese subsidiary’s office from Shibuya to Shinjuku as the Korean fast food chain accelerates its expansion in Japan with the opening of its sixth outlet.

The company said Monday that Mom’s Touch Japan will use Shinjuku as a central base for site development, franchisee training and operational support, consolidating key management functions as it builds its local network.

The new Shinjuku Park Tower branch opened on the building's first basement level, about a five-minute walk from Shinjuku Central Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building. Surrounded by offices and business facilities, the location will primarily target workers during lunch hours and after work, the company said.

The restaurant will also serve as a training center for franchise owners and managers, providing instruction on food preparation, service procedures and quality control. The company said the program was designed to help new locations meet its quality, service and cleanliness standards.

Since last fall, Mom’s Touch has expanded into a range of commercial districts through locations such as Harajuku, Shimokitazawa, Chigasaki and Akitsu. Operations across these areas have allowed the company to collect data on menu preferences, peak-hour demand and management efficiency, which it used to develop standardized procedures tailored to the Japanese market.

With the Shinjuku opening, Mom’s Touch now operates five company-run restaurants and one franchised location in Japan. Additional openings are planned in Itabashi, Tokyo; Sagami-Ono, Kanagawa Prefecture; and Kuki, Saitama Prefecture.

The company aims to reach 100 locations nationwide by the end of 2027, using its internally developed “store development protocol” based on experience from its directly operated restaurants.

“Shibuya was the starting point for demonstrating our brand competitiveness and business potential in Japan, while Shinjuku will serve as a new strategic base for expanding our franchise operations,” a Mom’s Touch official said.
