Compose Coffee said its first Taiwanese store drew strong early demand during a pre-opening held April 14.
The soft opening, which began Monday, was aimed at testing operations and gauging local response. The store quickly attracted long lines, with customers queuing from as early as 8 a.m. At peak hours, the store sold roughly one cup every 20 seconds, with wait times reaching up to two hours.
The company attributed the strong turnout to its competitive pricing, generous portions and Korea-inspired menu, which helped differentiate it from local coffee chains.
Signature items such as the iced Americano, red bean injeolmi milkshake and dalgona latte proved especially popular among Taiwanese customers.
Compose Coffee said it plans to replicate the quality, pricing and customer experience of its Korean operations in Taiwan, and will incorporate feedback gathered during the soft opening.
“We saw strong interest from local customers and will reflect that feedback to deliver high-quality beverages and service at the official launch,” a company official said.
