Korean Canadian actor Ahn Hyo-seop walked the Oscar red carpet Sunday at the 98th Academy Awards, where "KPop Demon Hunters" won Best Animated Feature and remains in contention for Best Original Song.
Ahn voices Jinu, the leader of the Saja Boys -- the demon-possessed rival boy band at the center of the film's plot.
While he is best known to viewers through the medical drama "Dr. Romantic" and the Netflix romantic comedy "Business Proposal," the animated film's run has broadened his profile considerably internationally.
Ahn's appearance follows a similar move last year, when the Academy extended invitations to Korean television and streaming talent. Last year's red carpet included Rowoon, a former SF9 member, and "XO, Kitty" co-stars Lee Sang-heon and Gia Kim.
