Hyundai Motor has been ranked No. 33 on the list of the world’s best companies surveyed by Time magazine, becoming the only Korean company to make the top 100.
The Korean automaker received an overall score of 91.36 points while jumping 159 spots from 2024’s rankings, as the company’s employee morale and business performance have excelled worldwide.
According to Hyundai Motor, its annual internal employee satisfaction survey showed 79.4 points last year, the highest ever score. The company also logged a 0.39 percent in voluntary turnover, which marked the lowest rate among Korean companies.
Hyundai Motor’s annual revenue increased by 23 percent to post 175 trillion won ($123 billion) last year with 14.2 trillion won in operating profit, up 45 percent on year.
Toyota was the second Asian automaker to make the list at No. 48. Among western automakers, Volkswagen led the pack at No. 7, followed by Ford at No. 13 and General Motors at No. 20.
“The evaluated results are meaningful as they were recognized by an outside institution with reliability,” said a Hyundai Motor official. “We expect (the recognition) to strengthen the trust of investors and contribute to positively spreading the brand.”
According to Time, in partnership with Statista, its third annual list of the world’s best companies was evaluated on three major dimensions: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency.
Nvidia took the first place with a score of 97.62 points, followed by Microsoft with 95.97 points and JPMorgan Chase with 95.03 points in the No. 2 and No.3 spots, respectively.
