Clear skies and crisp air signaled the arrival of autumn across Korea on Sunday, filling parks and outdoor festivals with families and couples eager to embrace the season’s charm.
The Wildflower Garden in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, eastern Seoul, which spans 2,800 square meters along a hillside, became a popular spot earlier in the day, with residents and tourists alike gathering to enjoy the autumn vibe while sipping coffee, taking photos and strolling through the blossoms.
On the same day at Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival presented flower beds decorated with Gawaji rice — believed to be the first cultivated rice on the Korean Peninsula — and scarecrows, signaling the full arrival of autumn.
The festival presents a vivid palette of autumn colors, from cosmos to zinnias, attracting visitors eager to capture the perfect photo spot.
Meanwhile, visitors at the Seoul Forest Jazz Festival in Seongdong District, Seoul, lounged on picnic mats, listening to music carried by a warm breeze, leaving behind memories of the sweltering summer heat.
