Rep. Park Chan-dae, former floor leader of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea, announced his candidacy for party chairmanship Monday at the party’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.

Following the press conference where he formally declared his bid, Park posed for photos, striking a double "K-heart" pose.
