Kang Seungyoon of Winner is preparing to make a comeback as a solo musician, according to a local media report on Friday.
He is planning to do so by the end of June, marking his first solo effort since completing mandatory military service in December last year.
His last solo release was the single “Born To Love You” from March 2022 and his last album, which was also his first solo studio album, “Page” released about a year before.
The news of his solo return may appease Winner fans who were disappointed by the recent announcement that the band’s July concert — the band’s first standalone show in over three years — will not include Song Mino.
The rapper is under investigation for allegedly failing to fulfill his duty as a social service agent.
