Quartet drops new song under the name 'Beast' for first time in 9 years

Boy group Highlight is back to using its original name.
The Wednesday drop of “Endless Ending” a track from the group's upcoming EP — the sixth to be released under its previous name — marks the first time in nine years that the group is able to call itself Beast.
"Highlight," a studio album released in 2016, was the last time the group released songs as Beast. The group originally debuted in 2009 as Beast and enjoyed immense popularity in its early years. In 2016, the members parted ways with their former agency, Cube Entertainment, and established their own independent label, Around Us. Unable to secure the trademark rights to the name Beast, the group rebranded itself as Highlight.
Although it seemed that the group would never again perform under the name Beast, it announced during “Light Go On Again,” a concert in May 2024, that an agreement over the trademark had been reached. At the concert, Highlight performed songs from its time as Beast and surprised fans with the news. Many fans were even seen shedding tears when the members greeted the crowd with, “Hello, we are Beast!”
Following the pre-release track, the quartet is set to release the new mini album "From Real to Surreal" at 6 p.m. on April 28.
