The first solo set from Mark of NCT has earned rave reviews from international media.
Undoubtedly one of the busiest among K-pop idols, stretched across NCT, NCT Dream and NCT 127 as well as Super M, “NCT’s splintered backbone paints himself whole,” with EP “The Firstfruit,” wrote NME magazine, adding, “After fracturing himself into pieces for nearly a decade, Mark has crafted something of an autobiographical marvel.”
“In its totality, the 13-track album is a clear window into the mind of one of the genre’s brightest (and arguably most earnest) stars,” said The Hollywood Reporter, lauding how the musician “gets vulnerable and open like he never has before.”
The autobiographical set topped iTunes albums charts in 14 regions when it came out last week. Main track “1999” debuted atop a number of music charts at home as well.
