Apple announced Tuesday that it is launching a Korean-language service for Apple Intelligence, its new artificial intelligence system for iPhones, other mobile devices and PCs.

Apple Intelligence will now be available in Korean, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

The system offers a range of features, including writing tools, an AI-powered photo eraser, mail and notification summaries, visual intelligence and voice recording with transcription and summarization capabilities.

Apple emphasized that Apple Intelligence operates using on-device processing to enhance privacy protection. For more complex tasks it utilizes private cloud computing to ensure data security and confidentiality.

The latest update also enables Korean users to locate their Apple devices through the Find My app on iPhone and iPad, as well as the Find Devices app on the Apple Watch. The Find My location tracking feature, originally launched in 2010, had been unavailable in Korea for over a decade.

If a device is lost, the Find My feature can trigger a sound to help locate it when nearby. Users can also enable Lost Mode to immediately lock the device, disable all Apple Pay transactions and display a custom message with contact information for whoever finds the device. Additionally, Apple allows for remote data deletion to prevent misuse in case of theft.
