G-Dragon set fans abuzz with a teaser for his upcoming solo album on Thursday.
The K-pop star uploaded a video clip for “Drama,” a B-side track from LP “Ubermensch,” appearing as stylish and mysterious as ever with his hair dyed tomato red and a face full of freckles.
The album comes out Tuesday. According to a local media report, he has collaborated with Grammy-winning American singer and rapper Anderson Paak. G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corp. declined to comment. His third studio album is his first solo set in about eight years, since his namesake second EP, and will consist of eight tracks, including prereleases “Power” and “Home Sweet Home.”
On March 29, G-Dragon kicks off a solo international tour with a live show in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
Jungkook surpasses 400m views for ‘Dreamers’
Jungkook of BTS has hit yet another milestone, as the music video for “Dreamers” logged 400 million views on YouTube.
The video for the soundtrack to the 2022 soccer World Cup reached the milestone on Thursday. It is by far the most popular video on world soccer governing body FIFA's official YouTube channel. It is the artist’s third solo visual to achieve the feat, following those for “Seven (Feat. Latto)” and “Left and Right,” a collaboration with Charlie Puth.
Jungkook teamed up with Qatari musician Fahad Al Kubaisi for “Dreamers,” which the two performed at the opening ceremony in November 2022 in the Qatari capital Doha. The single debuted atop iTunes top songs charts in 100 regions as well as Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart. On Spotify it has amassed over 460 million streams.
Meanwhile, Jungkook has for over 1 1/2 years remained on Billboard’s Global Excl. US and Global 200 with “Seven,” ranking No. 81 and No. 122, respectively, this week.
